Java EE 6 at the GeeCon conference

geeconI’m proud to announce that I’ll be talking at the GeeCON conference about Java EE 6. Proud because this conference is the first edition and has been created by the Polish JUG. A few months ago, Grzegorz Duda asked me if I was interested in speaking there. I’m always ready when it comes to talk for JUGs.

GeeCON is a conference focuses on Java and Java Virtual Machine based technologies, with special attention to dynamic languages like Groovy and Ruby. It is held in Cracow from the 6th to the 8th of May. Check the schedule, it’s full of interesting stuff. I’ll also have the pleasure to meet some friends such as Adam Bien, Bruno Bossola, Jevgeni Kabanov (who will be at the Paris JUG in May), Michael Hüttermann and Stephan Janssen.

I’ll be talking about Java EE 6 (as you might have guessed). The specification is planned to be final in September. So it’s pretty stable by now. I’ll focus on the novelties of JPA 2.0, EJB 3.1, JSF 2.0, JAX-RS 1.1 and Servlet 3.0. Plenty of good stuff. So if you are around, of if you want to register, see you at the GeeCon.
